The Purpose of Woman

I have been reading some books on marriage because I told my friend I would help her find some resources. One book said women should do all the work. Another book said men should do all the work. (In the relationship) I don't agree with either one of them. But it was interesting to read such opposite ideas.

The latest made me realize something interesting and this is what I am pondering:

When God made woman, There was no house to clean, no food to cook, no kids to care for, and definitely no laundry. :)

So what exactly was she supposed to help man with?

And I am trying to think past the one OBVIOUS reason.

Besides the obvious....help him stay encouraged? stay focused on God? Shouldn't they have been doing that for each other? Help him not be lonely? I don't know! Be interesting to think what others come up with!

I think God saw that "it was not good for man to be alone". We were created to in fellowship with other people. Just like God created us to be in fellowship with Him. We need both. We always will. We are not complete without each other. We are not strong without each other. That is true in marriage and in the church. We try so hard to be independant. And we are miserable. There is nothing better than having someone know you very, very, well and still love you. We need to share our hearts and our lives with each other. That should start in marriage and then spread to the church. In a mature, healthy, godly way. Those are my thoughts.
