New Problem

Background, just in case you don't know:
I just started enjoying my own kids about 6 months ago, a year tops.

My house is less than 1,200 square feet.

My children are starting to bring their friends over and wanting them to stay indefinitely.

Ideal Solution:
Me turn into wonderful, warm, loving, Christian mom of the neighborhood who makes them all a healthy snack and starts a croquet game in the back yard. (Minus the dog poop, of course.)

I start to feel claustrophobic after 5 minutes and my skin starts to crawl at 10. After about 1/2 hour I start looking at the clock wondering if I can send them all home soon.

I know I have said this before...but it's scary how much alike we are. I wish I had the perfect solution for you...however...I would have BEEN you...I can't stand going to the grocery store because there are too many people and I start to sweat and spin. I have learned to just take deep breaths, start praying for God's peace and most of the time it works...the rest of the time I do my best to excercise self control...cause I know that's what my ABBA wants, thank HIM that he helps me get it. Does that make sense?

Tawny you are so funny! I love how honest you are about your kids. I honestly believe that is why the Lord did not let me have kids. He knew I would have been the worst mother and would have been freaking out and yelling at them all the time and they would hate me and spend years in therapy later. Gives me chills to think about it. But at least you are enjoying your kids now. The space issue though.... that is a tough one. Don't they ever get invited to their friends?? :) I never wanted to bring my friends to my house when I was a kid unless we were playing outside. My mother was too much of a clean house freak. Hmmmm....sigh....I think in so many ways I have turned into her! :)

Andresa, praying and asking God to help me/change me totally makes sense! That is pretty much my only good option!

Darla, they have been playing at their friends houses a lot, and I am fine with that! :) Your house is always clean!

Okay, I'm giving you a prescription for forced alone time! Seriously, it might help!
